Privacy Policy

PDF Export Watermark for Confluence stamps watermarks on PDF files entirely in your browser, without uploading your documents anywhere and without any external service calls.

Data the app accesses

The PDF files you drop into the app are read in your browser only. The app has no Confluence content scopes — it cannot read your pages, spaces, or attachments. The only data it handles outside the browser is the admin-configured default watermark (the watermark text and its orientation), which site administrators set on the app's settings page.

How data is processed

Dropped PDFs are parsed and rewritten locally inside the Forge app's iframe using the pdf-lib library. The stamped copy is produced in the browser and downloaded directly from it. Document content is never transmitted to Atlassian, the vendor, or any third party.

Data storage

The app stores one thing: the admin-configured default watermark, kept in Forge-hosted storage (the app's only scope, storage:app) inside Atlassian's infrastructure, which inherits your site's data residency. No document content, page content, or personal data is stored by the app.

External sharing

The app has no external egress: it does not send document content or usage data to any third-party server, analytics service, or AI provider. What happens to stamped PDFs after they download is under your control.

Logs and retention

The app does not log document content or end-user data. The only retained data is the site default watermark setting, which persists until an administrator changes it or the app is uninstalled.
